Merlin Messaging UMS in a UNIX environment?

I have a situation where the servers are all unix, the user workstations are all XP. Can I install the UMS app on an XP machine and have it communicate with the Unix server? All machines are on site. Is there any way to make this work? Can someone give me some pointers. Much appreciated!

Well, I have never implemented this, but I know this much.

The MESSAGING Unified Messaging peice has to work with a MICROSOFT EXCHANGE Server.

So, does that answer your question?

(Probably, but not what you wanted to hear.)

The only time I had a chance to get this implemented, the Guru of the Exchange server wouldn't let us putz with it.
