We are trying to connect through the RS232 connection on the Merlin Messaging (2.0) .....set for 2400 8-N-1
and using the 355a adaptor (HyperTerminal)...no luck .....able to get through admin port on Processor with same 355a using winspm .....are we doing something wrong

We just want to get a print out of all the mailboxes
since we don't have records of all users and have downsized
a bit .....

Can we go through the lan connection with a crossover cable and telnet into it with default Ip 10.0.0.42 (I read this on a another post) since the voicemail is not on the network

Thanks for any and all posts:)

FYI
we do not have a Magix processor otherwise we could
go through winspm and chose the the delete function
from the system program menu ...

The baud rate for the serial port is 19200. Launch hyperterminal and hit return. Use sysadmin as the log in and the same numeric password as your system administrator's mailbox.

You need the Merlin Messaging GUI to be able to connect to the LAN port.

I just tried with the correct baud rate (19200)....using HyperTerminal I just get garbage .....does flow control
matter I have tried with Xon / Xoff, Hardware and None
as well with the same results ....

Flow Control should be set to none. You can also try using a modem and calling into the auto attendant. Have the dial string pause for answer ten dial "**3" to transfer to the internal modem.
