I have not tried - but since you can backup the contents of a mailbox - including the greeting - I would assume you can replace the greeting with a wave file once it is backed-up and restore it. You can click on the backed-up greeting to see the wave file format - and the replacement has to be the same type - or you will have a huge volume drop.
