I saw a thread with the same exact question I have but it never got a response and is now a closed thread.

Is this software available? Why would this be such a big deal to have available for download on the Avaya website? From what I have gathered, you can't even upgrade a 2.0 so it isnt like a sale is being pushed.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

What software are you looking for? If it is the LAN/GUI administration software - that is available for download on the Avaya.com website under support. If you are talking about the software loaded on the hard drive - that is not available for download - but comes already loaded on a replacement drive.

The GUI-Administration software. The same exact software the thread I mentioned was looking for. The only thing that is available on the Avaya website is the Release 4.

According to the thread: you have to use the same version admin software and hardware.

I have downloaded and installed the release 4 admin software. Sucessfully connected the com port cable, and changed the IP. Upon logging into the GUI-admin software, I cannot connect as it just freezes on the screen and has to be "End-Tasked".

It does appear to be attempting to connect as you cannot login to it via comport while the locked screen is still running. Upon entering a username and password, a message about the system already being administered is displayed.

After reading the above mentioned post, I assumed that not running the correct version of the software was the problem.

Thanks, dont know how I missed that. That is what happens when you are working under too much pressure.
