howdy folks.

Purchased a 4-port card for my Merling Messaging R1, and the module does not recognize the card. I busied out the slot, swapped the cards, restored it and watched it reboot, but it only comes back with the two ports as if there is 'no' card... the RMD extension returns 'busy'. Any suggestions?

I was afraid of that. I'll double-check my 'double-check' and make sure I do have it firmly seated. Since it was purchased after market, I might just be out the money. Big bummer. Is it possible to read the filesystems on these PCMCIA cards with a regular PC?

J,

It might be a defective 4 port card or the main chip that regulates the 2 PCMCIA slot traffic might be defective also.

Send me an email or call and I'll propose a couple of low cost fixes for the 4 port card since it appears out of warranty and possibly also the MMSG mod if it is defective.

The MMSG module automatically goes into test mode if it doesn't recognize a port licensing card that is working properly.
