The client does not use an auto attendant during the day, but would like to have one activated for night service.

Is there a way to do this?
From what I understand, you have to set the lines to be answered in the messaging group number. This locks you into having an attendant during the day and the night.

Just put the Lines AND the Voice Mail group in the NIGHT SERVICE GROUP and BINGO! it will work.

Okay Merlinman,

Here is my deal. I have setup a MM r3 by using a delay group 790 to control the timing of voicemail AA. When night service button is active, the night AA does play, however after the 5 ring delay I have programmed into the 790 delay answer group. How do I get VM to pick immediately when in night service mode??

Do what merlinman said. Put VM group 770 AND the lines in the night service group. I assume you have the lines assigned to 790 for the overflow delay during the day.
