Does the Merlin Messaging have an IP application that lets you play your messages on or through a computer.
I understand the Partner Messaging and Intuity Message Manager have this feature, but what about the Merlin Messaging ?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I think release 2.5 and above does. It is the aplication just like on the partner. I dont think you can play them thru the computer but you can call a phone and then control it with the PC aplication.

uses the LAN port connection on the R2.5 and above Merlin Messaging. You need to configure the Messaging with a static IP address and connect it to your LAN - so that any computer can access the messaging module. Users then program a favorite in their browser (named "Voicemail") and set the IP address to that of the Messaging module. They can then open their browser, click on Favorites and choose "Voicemail" - and they will connect to the Messaging module. They can then enter their extention and password and lig into their mailbox to view messages. I believe they can listen to the messages as well because they display as standard wave files. So they should be able to play them through their PC. However, to delete them from the mailbox - I believe they still need to log in via their phone. The user guide should be available at Avaya.com
