I've got a Merling Messaging module that runs fine for a long time, and then all of a sudden stops answering with the right greeting and transfers to the 'attendant'. Sometimes it goes staticy and the processor/status light turns orange. Sometimes resetting the module brings it back just fine, but this time around it doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have any ideas?

Usually DSP in the Voice Mail world is Digital Signal Processing, or converting speech to a sound file. Sounds like the Messaging unit is faulty.

Try dialing in and performing a reset. This performs a harddrive utility (0#,password#,9989reset). If that doesn,t work and you know its setup correctly then the module most likely is faulty.

Does this reset reformat (i.e. do I have to reprogram all the boxes?) I appreciate the help!

This will reset the voicemail and save all translations. You will not lose anything.
