Merlin Messaging- How to test ports, harddrive??

Does anyone know how to reset a merlin messaging voicemail or how to test the ports and the hard drive?

I know how to dial into the unit using hyperterminal, but unlike the Merlin Legend Mail, I don't get the options to test the hard drive, do an init, etc. The error log is coming up with "system reset forced" with about 2 entries per day. The customer is complaining about messages showing up hours or even days after it has been received. I am sure there is a secret Avaya password out there to get the additional options, just don't know what it is.

I have seen that happen with faulty PC license/port cards. You can power the unit down, remove the pc port card, and boot-up without the card in the unit to enter diagnostic mode I believe.

Did it ever work right? Did both problems start at the same time? If not the two issues may be unrelated. So check to make sure the vm extensions are correct in the switch. Call each extension number to make sure the VM picks up. Most MWL delay problems I have seen were actually contention issues or switch issues of some sort.
