A long time client with a 16 year old Magix with Merlin Messaging 2.5 had the product fail. Hard drive.

Ordered a replacement messaging card inserted the 2 port PC Card and everything programmed up fine except the dial out zero option. There are three settings in the TouchTone commeads under AA structure for dial 0 and timeout. Service Operator, Extension and General Mailbox.

The staff turn on night service button on departure. Callers get 2 rings then AA1 night greeting. On "do nothing" the caller gets transferred to ext 10 and then the greeting for mb10, the light comes on at EXT10 and the message is there... But I cannot extinguish the lamp on the MLX20L (EXT10) by deleting the message. *3 There are no other messages and pressing MENU>MESSAGES>DEL MSG will extinguish the lamp. But that's the only way....

IDEAS??

Auto attendant 1 night operator is set as service operator. there are three choices general mailbox which I don't know what the general mailbox number which I assigned to extension 10. The principle operator is also extension 10 an mlx-20L. The second choice is service operator which I've set to extension 10 and the third choices is extension. Which I made extension 10. I've tried all three and all three do in fact turn the light on at extension 10 when a message is left at extension 10 in either the general mailbox the service operator extension or the extension 10 mailbox depending on what you set the timeout and 0 operation for. they all ring extension 10 they all cover to the personal greeting at extension 10 and the light comes on at x10. But you cannot get the light off other than pressing menu messages on extension 10 and pressing Delete. Then The light will go off.

Many Thanks to any old timer that remembers this stuff or still has clients that use it like I do!

General mailbox for auto attendant 1 is 9991. For auto attendant 2, it's 9992. For auto attendant 3, it's 9993. The messages are in one of those, and 10 is the owner of all of them.
