merlin messaging can't transfer to extensions

i have a merlin messaging that was used on a merlin system with four digit extension numbers. now i'm using this same messaging module with a new merlin system with three digit extension numbers...but when an outside caller get answered by the auto-attendant then dial the extension number, the call is always transferred to the operator...i already changed the maximum number of digit from four to three...pls help!!!

I'd recommend resetting the Merlin Messaging and start over. Login to mailbox 0, dial 9 for admin, then dial 98925327 to rest to factory defaults.

Actually, you could have left them as 4 digits.

I would verify the following:

1) Are the extensions in the COVER GROUP being answered by the MAIL CALLING GROUP?

2) Is the VOICE MAIL CALLING GROUP set up as INTEGRATED VMI?

I would check these 2 things first.

You might want to see if the mail extensions are set to rotary, in the "new merlin system"

Papagigo is right, I forgot about that one thing with MESSAGING.

The Mail Extension Ports have to be set to ROTARY ENABLED, which can only be done in Legend R7 and Later (Magix).
