Merlin Messaging 4.0 in Test Mode? 1

I have a Legend 7.0 with a Merlin Messaging 4.0/6port card. The system is currently in Test mode, it doesn't let me log on. Does anyone know how I can change this?

i assume you have tried the system reset button on the front of the messaging card?
 
Is this a new system addition/replacement? The port-card may not be seated or inserted correctly. Make sure that the port card is inserted straight and that you can feel it "seat" correctly in the last 1/4" of its movement. You may also have a defective port card. If the port card is not being correctly "recognized" by the messaging module - the module will stay in "test" mode.
 
I don't see a system reset button on the front of the card, but I did power the system down and reseed the Merlin Messaging module and the 6 port card. Everything seems be in place. Is there anything else I can try?
 
Is this a recent purchase? or a module that used to work? If it is a recent purchase - I would call your vendor. You may have a defective port card and/or module. I am assuming when you installed this messaging module you did so properly with a system board renumber, etc.

Yes. This is a new purchase. I did followed all the instructions in Avaya's manual to install [including a system renumber]. I called the vendor, they are sending me a new card. I will try the new card, and repost the results. Thank you everyone for your help so far.

There is no physical reset button on the front of the card but you can pull the license and reseat it while the system is powered on and it performs a reset on the system. Also you might try putting the license in the additional slot. I have had this work before. However, I would still replace the card such as you have stated you are doing.
 
Hello Every one I was wondering how to program a merlin messaging to record a call while is been active. For example I recieve a call and while I am on the phone I am recording the call. Question is how do i programm the systme to do that, where do I checked for that recorded call. I will appreciate if you can help me.

First, do you have a Magix Messaging Release 4.0 module AND a Magix Processor with Release 4.0 software. If you do not have BOTH items - then you do not have "Record-A-Call" capability.
