Merlin Messaging 2.5 is down

We have a Magix 2.0 with Messaging 2.5 and it went down this morning. Restarting did not help. All of our display phones show messages waiting and we can open up the messenger.com but cannot login to get messages. When we dial the extensions that go into voicemail we get a busy signal. Is it possible the port card went bad overnight?

Sounds like either the license card or hard drive went bad. Is the hard drive making any noise, or does it sound normal?

It was making a clicking noise. I did not mention that all the LED's were not lit. How can we tell if it is the hard drive or the license card? I see the hard drive is a standard laptop drive. If it is the drive can I get one and re-initialize and reprogram?

Sounds like a hard drive failure. Get it replaced if it's still under warranty. If not, I think we might have a spare hard drive.

Make sure the licensing card is in theleft slot on the voice mail system. It must live here all the time for the system to work.

We got the new hard drive and put it in and the system came up just fine. I put everthing back the way it was and after six hours of operation the new drive develops the same problem as the old. What could be happening?
