Merlin Messaging 2.5 (AA setup)

I am installing a 4 port Merlin Messaging system to a Merlin Magix. I have added the IP info needed, and have no problems getting in with the IP, to add or modify stations. What I'm stuck on is how to build an auto-attendant that can be used from one outside lines, with a prompt to call by extension or last name. This is my first MM install.

Mike, on the Magix, have the calling group for voice mail answer that particular line 801, 802, or whatever. That will send all of those line's inbound calls to voice mail. On the Messaging, set that line ID to the AA you want. On that AA's greeting, tell the caller to press *2 to dial by name. Make sure that each mailbox has a last name on it. The *2 is set to the Messaging, and is not something yu have to set up. Lastly ensure the voice mail ports are set to "rotary enable" in the Magix.

I have one (801) CO trunk being answered by the Merlin Messaging system, the prompt says to "dial the extension you wish to reach, or *2 to use the names". The names works great, but dialing the extension number (7300), I get waved off on the "7". I can call 7300 from any station in the system and it goes directly to VM with my greeting. What am I missing?

Is Selector Code 7 set for direct Ext Transfer?

AA #?
1 for day 2 for night
6 to modify
Enter Selector code 7
Should be set for Direct ext Ttans, if not change it.
*# when done with Selector codes

Also have to make sure that the mbx for the extension number exists, whether or not it will receive msgs.
