Merlin Messaging 2.0 to email 1

I have a 4.0 Merlin Magix with Merlin Messaging 2.0
The CEO of the company wants the ability to have the Merlin Messaging tied into his server and get email notification when a message is left in his voice mail box..I have spoken to some people and they say YES the 2.0 will provide " unified messaging" however, when I search the Avaya documents website, it only mentions connecting to a LAN for administration use and not anything about Unified messaging..
Will the 2.0 be able to do it?....or Upgrade to a later Merlin Messaging card or ?

TTT Thanks..Looks like I have to upgrade...I may as well get a 4.0 card at this point.
