My Auto/Attd cut off customers when transfering to a calling group using the selector code 2(dials 772) or 3 (dials 773).

I dial in to the voice Mail using the modem and this report

What does this show?

I would guess you have some "corrupt" files on your messaging system hard drive. The first series of errors are "Voice Announcement Corrupt" referring probably to your AA announcements. You could try listening to them and re-recording them for both AA2 and AA3.

How many ports do you have a license for? The ports being locked may be because the system gets hung up on one of these corrupt files - trying to read them.

You may want need to re-initialize (erase and restore to factory defaults) the hard drive and start over. You could also have a hard drive that is on its last legs and needs to be replaced.

I have a 6 port system using all 4 Auto/attd.

If I re-initialize the system, can I restore the system from the backup using the PC card?

Thanks
Ron

The backup on the PCMCIA card holds only "some" information. I assume it holds primarily configuration files. You will lose all the existing mail box message content and probably some of the recorded announcements - which are probably corrupt anyway. The PCMCIA backup should include the basic messaging setup (mail boxes, mail box types, selector codes, AA setups, schedules, etc.) - but I am not sure about previously recorded announcements. The newer messaging modules allow you to do a backup to a PC - which obviously can hold a lot more information - including mail box contents.
