I know you can follow the prompts after listening to a message to transfer that message to another voicemail box but that is too long. If you press the voicemail transfer button while listening to a message only the part of the message that you have not yet heard is sent. Am I using the voicemail transfer button wrong? Is there a better way besides following the bouncing ball to transfer a voicemail message to another mailbox? TIA for any ideas.

When you hit Voice mail transfer, it transfers THEN plays the greeting of the mailbox you transferred to and records the sent message.

The transfer to voice mail button is for you to take a live caller directly to a mailbox without ringing the extension. When you are listening to a message in your mailbox, and want to forward it to another user's mailbox, you MUST jump through the hoops. However, after you do if a few times you will be able to memorize the steps, ie, 12-say something-1*#XX#*## and *3 or # if you want to delete or save the message.

By hitting the transfer to voice mail button, you are transferring your current session of listening to messages to another user's INCOMING mailbox. His mailbox is answering and recording your session finishing playing the message, and the rest of the prompts until it times out.

Well, as you indicated, the best way to transfer the entire message is by using the FORWARD feature of Messaging/Mail itself.

Also, it takes a few button pushes, recording an announcement and a few more button pushes to make that happen.

The only suggestion I have is to not wait for answers to all the button pushes if that can work for you.
