Merlin Mess. AA issues 2

Customer has magix 4.0/messaging 4.0 8port. Calls go to AA immediately all the time. They are in two digit extensions. Approximately every fifth call to the AA, the caller presses the extension and it routes to the incorrect extension or the CAS. I have triple checked the selector codes and also made sure that group coverage is set to the vm, under group calling. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

What is the total range of extension numbers? Do they start at 10? How high do they go? Is there any consistency to the extensions that are not routed correctly? or is it ransom? What selector codes numbers do you have set for "direct extension transfer"?

I would also check the "TOTAL DIGITS" in an extension setting within the Messaging.

I recommend going ahead and setting up the extensions in a 3 digit enviornment.

That way, you only have to use 1 selector code to do transfers.

After several years of planning and implemting these things I realized that it is best to have extensions in the 100 range, to start with.

OF course, I first set everyting up with "SET UP SPACE".
 
Check that you have ALL voice mail ports rotary enabled, and the hunt group is linear instead of circular.
 
Tommy, you might be the man on this one. Turns out that only seven of the eight were R E'ed. And eventhough I have never changed the hunt type for VM, it was a circular so I took your advice. I will know on Thursday if it is cured. Thanks a million, Tommy.
 
Rotary enabled bites even the most experienced of us all....

Especially if we do not use (or have access to) the Auto Config of the Mer Mesg.....
