I have an older stand alone merlin mail on a legend 4.0 I have 3 mailboxes I cannot delete, or reset the password. they are 15, 16, 17, and are in the system with class of service 3 and no name other than there station number, but when I go to delete them, press the 9 under the mailbox menu the system goes back to the first of the admin menu and I do not get a message that the mail box was deleted. also cannot log in the mailboxes or change to the default password of 1234. Have look all over the menu to see if these mailboxs are some where but can"t find them anywhere in the system. any suggestions

I would try to leave them a message, just for a test.

Also, see if you can change their CLASS OF SERVICE.

As far as I remember - to delete a mailbox - from the mailbox menu (choice 4 after entering programming) - you need to press *3 (star, 3). You are then prompted to key-in the mailbox extension number and press # - you are then played the mailbox name and advised if there are any messages - and asked to press 9 to confirm mailbox deletion.

To reset a mailbox password - from the mailbox main menu - you press 6 to modify a mailbox - then choose the option to reinitialize the password (I believe it is 3 or 4).
