Merlin Mail/Legend Direct Line to Voicemail from Outside

If I wanted to provide a telephone number that allows employees to check voicemail from outside without going through the operator during business hours, what's the best way to do that?

I'm assuming it goes something like assign a line to the VM group...

Hi Duff,

I would assign a phantom extension using a DID and have that number cover directly to voicemail.

If you have to use a line, then yes I would pick a line not in a hunt and assign the line to all the vm ports (extensions) on the system.

Take the line out of its pool, and assign it to the VM calling group. If you still want to be able to use that line for outbound calling, put it in a pool by itself, assign that pool to the VM calling group, and then add that pool to the ARS.
