Merlin Mail group lines

O.K. this is a 2 part question,

1. I made mailboxes for all of my phones 10(administrator),11,12,13,23,24,25. and when i made them i found out that when someone called my house and no one awnsered it automatticly forwarded them to extention 10(administrator) to leave a message and i was wondering if this is common for it to automaticly assign this extention to the general caller mailbox and can i change the time that it forwards the caller to the mailbox or is it permanent at about 9 or 8 rings i think.

2. my second question is also about this mailbox, Can i assign this mailbox so that if someone leaves a message at this extention it will show the Message Waiting light at another extention along with the main one (10).

Any help at all is greatly appreciated i really learned alot from this forum and am lucky that i found it
 
If you don't have the lines assigned to the Voice Mail Calling Group (typically 770) or to a calling group designed to delay cover to the VM calling group, they will be answered by the voice mailbox belonging to the lowest numbered logical ID with voice mail coverage (in this case, ext. 10). What you probably want to do is assign the lines to another calling group, set its number based overflow to 99, its time based overflow to something like 20 or 25 seconds, and set it to overflow to the VM. Create a mailbox with the same extension number as the delayed calling group and give it a class-of-service equal to the auto attendant. Give ext. 10 Night Service with coverage to the VM calling group. What all this will do for you is cause lines to be answered after a certain number of seconds during the day by an auto attendant that allows the caller to direct their call to an extension, and when the Night Service button is on, the calls will be answered immediatly by the auto attendant.

The message light is attached to the extension that matches its extension number; can't show in other places.
