What is the process via SPM to change an extension from Multi-line to single-line handset?
basically from an MLX port to a ATL port I think..??

want to re-assign extension to another port - I think that is the correct terminology...

- also want to do some pretty in dept call routing - (in depth to me but probably really simple to most pbx guys)

Since an extension number can not exist in two places at the same time, you need to renumber the existing port to something else, then you can renumber the new port to the desired extension number. I would suggest that you choose the original "setup space" number for the "something else".

Example, your MLX extension is 1010, and you want to move that to a different port (doesn't really matter what type of port)

Go to Maintenance, Port, Station, 1010, Enter, Status. This will give you a couple of things, including Logical ID. Add 7099 to the Logical ID to come up with the Setup Space extension number. Say it was Logical ID 33. Add 7099. This means that you will change Ext. 1010 to 7132.

Menu, Sys Program, Start, Sys Renumber, Single, Station, 1010, Enter, 7132, Enter.

Now the port that you want to put 1010 onto, you must know what its extension already is. Say that one is 1025. Menu, Sys Program, Start, Sys Renumber, Single, Station, 1025, Enter, 1010, Enter.

Voila'

Perfect will try later today and see what I mess up!

- Next post will be about documenting the PRI config in WinSPM
Port 17 only card with PRI and only a single Port..

currently passing calls without any issue however not able to send receive faxes through my gateway device between Merlin and Telco
remove that box all starts working again.

If by saying GATEWAY BOX,you mean a device that provides an interface from a CELL PHONE to a T&R Line Port, I would totally doubt that could work at all.

So please, tell us exactly what you are trying to do.
