I have a Merlin Magix (upgraded from Legend), last 4 slots configured as follows.
slot 14 is 016 TR
slot 15 is 016 TR
slot 16 T1 Card
slot 17 008 opt

The cards in slots 14 and 15 are bad, I want to replace slot 14 with a good 016 TR and put a 024 TDL in slot 15. When I do a board renumber, how will my ext numbers be impacted?

Thanks

Larry

VERY BADLY, for sure!

The Programming for ports THAT WERE in slot 15 and 17 will now be on slot 15. If any of them were used for Voice Mail, you may or may not be able to un-restrict them. Swapping board types is NEVER a good idea. You might try removing slots 15 thru 17 and then do a board renumber (In theory to erase what's there). But I doubt that will work.

Good luck.

It's basically going to BUMP ALL your extensions downward onto the slot 15, Like Merlinman said,
if you put it in slot 15.

If your Handy with the system and understand renumbering you can do it ..

of course there is always....

And/Or in a "we gotta do it" scenario, do a PRINT ALL report,
and start from scratch.. Put the boards where you want them!

Course, if you can do all that, you can re-number it too ...

Good Luck!
