Could someone please confirm or deny something I was told regarding Magix PRI installations..If I match my intercom startup range with my received digits(4), is there still a way to accept digits that do NOT match my station range?
I was told the possibility existed for 16 numbers and that was the limit. If that is true, is there a quick tutorial or programming suggestions someone can forward??I know digits need to be deleted/added, but not real clear on procedure...
Any help would be greatly appreciated......thanks

I've never worked on a Magix, but on a Legend (rls 7), I have my routing done by 'dial plan', and you can manipulate digits there. Also, I think there is an option to route invalid incoming digits to an attendant or calling group (which I also do).

Jgideon,
Any chance you have any programming records showing the dial plan? I am primarily a Norstar guy so this is new territory for me...How about the question regarding the limitation of how many(16)times numbers can be manipulated??

Thanks

jgideon is on the right track...under the dial plan routing, create a service routing number (0-16). Typically we define this as ANY SERVICE, under the Misc option. Make sure you use a service setting that is not in use already. These 16 service settings are the 16 possible entries you have. Then under Patterns, select the service setting you defined and define the pattern of digits that you intend on receiving (up to 8 digits). Then you use total digits dialed to define the expected quantitiy of digits. Then use delete digits to strip digits from the front side. Use add digits define the digits to insert in place of the stripped digits. By the way..this only works if your incoming routing is by dial plan, which it usually is.

It is a little confusing when you're coming from Norstar 'target line' mentality. (But then, it took me _weeks_ to get used to target lines... some kind of a mental block)

In my config, my first entry is for 'normal' where DID matches station. (I'm beginning to think I don't need that entry...) the other two entries I have are for 3000 and 2100. Both are set to 'delete' four digits, and add '2110'.
(2110 is my intended target).

The wrapping is a little hard to read, but here's what I've got:
Dial Plan Routing Table

Entry Number: 0 1 2
NtwkServ: Any service Any service Any service
