Merlin Magix with outbound dialers question

I have a client who wants to install a Magix with 2 PRI T1's and 3 analog boards that will be connected to outbound dialers via RJ11's - the system will see the dialers as analog devices. The dialers access 20 -30 numbers simultaneously and queue them up for his telemarketers, so as soon as they hang up, they have the next call. He is worried that the system won't have enough "power" to access that much dial tone at once - the only thing I can equate power to in this analogy is touch tone receivers? He has done this in the past on a Toshiba and an Intertel system, so I can't imagine that the Magix wouldn't run circles around both of them (no prejudice hear) but am wondering if anyone has a: done this, or b: has any suggestions beyond splitting the T1's between carriers and loading up on boards with TTR's.

Also - I was just reading another post that talked about ring generators on power supplies. What would be the best power supply for this application? Thanks for the input.

I think the Magix only has one type of power supply. Those different ones were for the legend. i dont know about dialers. i also think the TTR thing does not apply to the magix but i may be wrong

I misspoke myself. I will be using a Magix process in a clamshell with the remainder of the cards as plastic Legend cards. Sorry about that.

Since the dialers are accessing digital PRI lines for their outbound calls - I don't believe TTR's will be an issue for you - and with two PRI's you should have 46 lines available.

Wouldn't the Magix still need TTR's to receive the touch tones from the S/L dialers and send them out over the T1's?

And..this guy's issue is it will require 30 of them simultaneously, so the system will need to produce that much dial tone.

I do see where TTR's would be important, if I understand your application correctly.

You said you will have 2 PRI-T1 modules, and 3 analog boards.

As far as ring generators, just make sure you either purchase 016-TRR's or 012-T&R's with ring generators. (The 016-TRR's have them, only certain 012-T&R boards have them.)

If I understand this design correctly, the COMPUTER will use the MAGIX T&R Ports to do the DIALING OUT, and then the COMPUTER will distribute calls to the AGENTS.

To do this, the COMPUTER will use the MAGIX T&R Ports to do the DIALING OUT part, and then it will transfer the call to the AGENT. Is that how you are going to do it?

With 3 016 Modules, you have a total of 12 TTR's.

Thus, your system can make 12 calls at the same time.

Ahh - yes - the dialers WILL need an available TTR for every call they TRANSFER to an agent. I would go with Merlinman's suggestion - and get several 016 Basic Telephone (T/R) modules. The exact number would depend on how many independent dialers would be connected to the system. You would ideally need one TTR available per dialer. Each 016 module has 4 TTR's.

So I load up on TTR's - is the chart posted anywhere on this site (I looked but couldn't find it) that lists what boards have TTR's and how many? I know its in the Legend install manual, but I left mine at a customer's and haven't gone back to get it yet. Also, do the ring generators on the power supplies have anything to do with this? He makes his outbound calls using those single-line Panasonic phones that just look like headsets. Thanks.

Here are a couple more modules:

Module TTRs
------------------------------
400GS/LS/TTR 4
400LS 4
MERLIN LEGEND Mail Module 2

The 400 type modules will give you a load advantage for the power supplies, because they have a Unit Load of 0.0. This maybe helpful to give you more DTMF receivers for the buck and not load your power supplies down.
