Merlin Magix WIN/SPM - issue with com port

using a USB to serial port converter and can't make connection. Getting error no COM Port 1, 2, 3, etc.

Go into Device Manager, find out which com port it is, and change WinSPM to use that port, or change the port to match WinSPM.

You will get a different com port if you plug into a different USB port - I always end up forgetting which one I used last time and coming up with the wrong one.

also, make sure the drivers for the USB to
Serial Adapter are up to date..check the
device manager to make sure there is no problem
with the adapter.
