Situation: Ralph calls in to the main office. Ralph wants to be transferred to Mary who is not in the main office - but she has her cell phone.

How do I do that?!?

If I have Ralph on the line, hit Transfer, hit 9, get an outside line, dial Mary's cell, it rings & Mary answers. But if I hang up, Ralph is still stuck on the line - he never gets transferred over to Mary. And on the phone display it shows 'Transfer Incomplete'.

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

You need to make sure that the phone has Trunk to Trunk transfer permission. it is under extensions.

There are some options that need to be set in the Magix for the feature to work properly.

1. Set all lines/trunks to RELIABLE DISCONNECT
2. Enable TRUNK-TO-TRUNK transfer by setting it to YES on all phones that need this capability (Trunk Transfer Allow)

If your trunking is on a DS1 or is PRI, you only need to do item 2.

Hope this helps!

If the timer has not expired before you hang up or press transfer again, you will also get "transfer incomplete" - SO.... press 9, the outside number, and POUND to signal the end of dialing.

Thank you, all, for the feedback! Will give your suggestions a try asap & will post another reply with the results. Thanks again!!

KWING & TOUCHTONETOMMY -

Sorry for the delay in trying your suggestions... Was finally able to - and here's the scoop:

It works! A combo of both your posts does the trick!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

SYQUEST - I was LOST on how / where to set the lines to Reliable Disconnect and where to find the Trunk Transfer Allow option. Not to mention I have NO idea if my trunks are DS1 or PRI... The closest I can get is jumping into System Programming \ Lines Trunks - I poked around in there... but nothing seems to fit the bill...

Guess it doesn't matter since it's working - but I do appreciate all 3 of you taking time to reply to my post!!!

Thanks again!

Datanomics,

For future reference to learn your way around I would suggest you download some manuals from the Avaya website: support.avaya.com

They do have examples in them and one is called the "System Manager's Guide" amoung others.

Hopefully you won't be so lost in the future...

We are always glad to help!
