Merlin Magix, moving to local Merlin Messaging/password

Hey folks,

Merlin Magix 2.1
Merlin Messaging 1.1.5

Ok, I have this system currently linked over a PRI with another Merlin Magix. The system is using the centralized VMS on the main system. I am removing this system from that link, and installing a merlin messaging 1.1.5.

The problem I'm having is i cant seem to get the Merlin Magix to see the Merlin Messaging board. It shows up in inventory, but when i go to program through the console, it says no merlin msging boards installed.

What am I missing?

Also what is the default password for the merlin messaging board when programming through the rs232 port. I tried root/root, !root/!root, niether of which worked.

If you are using the auto configure feature in the magix you need at least R1.5 of the Magix (which you have) AND at lease R2 Messaging

When you added the board to the other system, did you remember to do a board renumber??

You need at least a Merlin Messaging 1.5 to program through the LAN port (not the serial port).
