We have a Magix R3 - we have a DID inbound that rings a group of 4 phones on the first ring (no when all phones are idle) When all phones are logged out of hte group -call ring to AA; when all phones are busy - it rings to AA; we need when call is RING NO ANSWER to the group on any of the 4 extensions - it rings to AA. Cant seem to get that to work.

HELP

It's an issue with the Magix and DID/PRI integration with hunt groups. With POTS lines, you can assign specific POTS lines to the group and then cover them to voicemail using the time based overflow. With DID, it doesn't work. The only way it is ever going to overflow is the two scenerios you mentioned: (1) Everyone is already on a call or (2) Everyone has logged off.

You could set-up the DID as a user, then put coverage for that user on each of the (4) users. Then, calls to the DID ring on the coverage button of each of the users, if not answered they follow the coverage path for that user you created(which you can create as auto-attendant 1 or whichever in the messaging). Then, instead of log-out (keep it labeled log-out if you'd like) put a DND button on eveyone's phone. Pressing that will essentially take them out of ringing for the coverage button (downside their own extension will not ring either).

So far so good but...... probably should have posted this earlier. The call rings the 4 phones - no answer goes to AA - the press 1 and it rings the same group again and if they dont answer it goes to a mailbox for hte group.

two scenarios i think might work.... either set the AA Selector code 1 to do a supervisored transfer (not sure magix mail offers such a feature) where the port doesnt release the call until its answered then puts it in a MBox....

or (and more likely to work) pressing 1 goes to a group with a VM Box assigned to it so it doesnt really matter HOW the call arrived at the AA - the DID/EXT rings all phones - if no answer it goes to AA - caller press 1 - 1 rings a GROUP that contains all the extenstion and if groups unanswered - goes to a MB. That should work right? cause the issue i have is related to the DID points to a group and not an ext....
