after i added two cards and renumbered them and changed group coverage etc. do i need to do a backup in order to keep the changes in case of a power failure or do the changes get saved when i exit the programming.

Do a backup onto the pcmacia card. Changes are Not auto-backed onto it otherwise.

An autobackup ONLY occurs every Sunday morning at 2:00am - unless you change when autobackups occur. This is the default.

Print your system setup and on page one it will show you if the autobackup is on and whether it is set for daily, weekly or just turned off. It is recommended you have it do a weekly backup.

Since you have programmed so much for your additions I would recommend you do a manual backup to your flash card.
