I have a system going in (key) with 4 FX lines and and a bunch of local (pots) lines. Digital sets are no problem but is there any way of choosing which group of lines I call out on using an analog set? I know I can pool them, but would rather keep in the Key mode.

Thanks,
Mike in NH

You can assign specific lines to specific single phones through system programming under extensions, lines/trunks. You can also set the automatic line select preferences under centralized programming - if you want to. Typically, a single line phone has to dial "9" to get an outside line. The default is internal intercom tone.

Tom,

I was hoping with the V4.0 to be able to choose any of the lines using an access code. I think my only option at this point is to go with two pools.

Thanks,

Mike in NH

Set to Hybrid PBX mode, and make it "Look like" a key system. Put the lines you want on the phnes you want,a nd set ARS Dial Out codes for those you want. If you want the single line phone to be able to choose any of the lines, put each line in a pool. (You can use *03 + pwd + 2-digit line number to access each line individually, but is a little bit of a hassle.
