Hello. Needing help fixing the 2nd operator phone.

Direct Line Operators : 200 218

PRI Circuit with 10 DID numbers

218 used to ring the same time 200 does.
Customer recently acquired another company. Forwarded their main number to ring on a DID, ext 207. They don't have 218 as a DID.

I set calls going to 207 to ring at 218.
Customer could answer calls but if they put caller on hold they could not retrieve the call back.

I changed ext 218 buttons from this:

A Button 5 Line 819 -D Status None
A Button 4 Line 818 -D Status None
A Button 3 Line 817 -D Status None
A Button 2 *16 SysAcc Voice -I Status None
A Shared System Access:
A
A Button 1 *16 SysAcc Ring -I Status None
A Shared System Access:

to this:

A Button 5 *18 SysAcc-OO Ring Status None
A Shared System Access:
A
A Button 4 *16 SysAcc Ring -I Status None
A Shared System Access:
A
A Button 3 *16 SysAcc Ring -I Status None
A Shared System Access:
A
A Button 2 *16 SysAcc Voice -I Status None
A Shared System Access:

A Button 1 *16 SysAcc Ring -I Status None

That is what ext 200 has as the first 5 buttons.

That fixed the problem with putting callers on hold.
But it caused ext 218 to no longer ring when calls come into the main number. Ext 200 rings fine but 218 no longer does.

I went back into the line programming for 218 and added the lines.

So now the buttons on 218 look like this:
A Extn SS/PP Type
A 218 1/ 5 MLX-10D

A Button 10 Line 811 -I Status None
A Button 9 Line 810 -D Status None
A Button 8 Line 807 -D Status None
A Button 7 Line 806 -D Status None
A Button 6 Line 805 -D Status None
A Button 5 *18 SysAcc-OO Ring Status None
A Shared System Access:
A
A Button 4 *16 SysAcc Ring -I Status None
A Shared System Access:
A
A Button 3 *16 SysAcc Ring -I Status None
A Shared System Access:
A
A Button 2 *16 SysAcc Voice -I Status None
A Shared System Access:

A Button 1 *16 SysAcc Ring -I Status None

I'm not sure why line buttons would matter since it is a PRI system but i tried to retrace my changes hoping it would fix the problem.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

First off, putting on line buttons for PRI channels does nothing.

If it's a PRI, you can use the incoming routing table to take whatever digits the telephone company is sending and route to any extension you choose.

The only way 218 rang at the same time that 200 did, was through coverage or being members of an all ring group.

If the incoming calls are sent to Ext. 200, you would add a Primary Coverage-200 button to 218, and probably a Pickup-200 button as well, so that instead of answering the call ringing on the coverage button, you would press pickup and pull the call to your own SA button.

If you have automatic backups turned on, I would revert to an earlier configuration, then do a print of 200 and 218 to find out how they were programmed prior to your changes.
