On a Merlin ll I always thought the intercom buttons were set unlike the Legend or Magix where you can change them to all voice or all ring or any combo you like. I have a cust that says they have a few phones that have all ring buttons. The site is a bit too far to go for just this. Can these buttons be changed like the Magix or Legend?? I looked through the doc's I have & couldn't find any info. Thanks in advance.

Are you asking if you can dial into the merlin II remotely? Use SPM like a Legend?

If so, then no, you can not.

I don't remember any way to change the IC voice to IC ring on a Merlin II..but my memory is rusty, and sometimes won't start on a cool morning.

I find you can enable or disable voice announce, but that is at the receiving extension, to allow or disallow voice calls to a particular extension, not from an extension.
And as telecomtekperson says, no remote admin in any case.

Replace the Processor with a LEGEND R7. That way you can have something that CAN be serviced and Programmed, WITHOUT having to change the sets out.

Legend R7 Processors are just not that expensive, and the benefits far out weigh trying to puts around with that MERLIN II.

Not to mention, I'd be willing to bet you have to re-program that MERLIN II each and every time you loose power.

Merlinman,
I am trying to convince this cust to upgrade to the Legend- This is the president's office at a college and they have a Legend in his residence but it a R1, so it would be a great idea to upgrade both.
Take care,
Eileen

Yes, By now that R1 probably has failing Memory Back-up batteries also.

Therefore, an R7 with a FLASH CARD Back-Up would be ideal in both places.

Good Luck!
