We currently have account codes that some telephones require a user to dial. I need to remove all existing ones and add new ones. Can someone provide details on how to.

Thanks

Forced Account Code Entry can be any number. This requiremet is under: Sys Program > Exit > Extensions > Account, then enter extensions affected, and delete them. You can "inspect" at this level and show which extensions have the account codes.

Thanks Pepperz
The group of codes I described can be used from any restricted phone.

A group of extensions already restricted to using account codes and all I want to do is change the codes not the extensions.
Is the procedure you detailed what I'm looking for?

Thanks in advance

No, you cannot change the codes, in fact ANY number will work. All you can do is set the requirement to use them.

We must be talking about different things. When using a restricted phone any user must dial "#80 then the code". I have removed the codes and added new ones in the past, but it has been such a long time I forgot the process. Maybe someone can explain to me how this works?

Then you're not dealing with account codes, but with authorization codes-different animal. An authorization code allows phone A to take on the characteristics of phone B, by entering the auth code for phone B by pressing *80 on Phone A. You have chosen somewhere in your system to allow certain people, by virtue of an authorization code, to "become" some other phone. All you have to do is find an unrestricted phone as the "auth code model" and assign it a new code, then anyone using that new code can be unrestricted as well. That's what it looks like you are trying to do. That should clear it up a little.

Pepperz, way to get to the root of the problem. Thanks again for your help.
