Hi,
I have a merlin legend with a CKE3 R7 V12 processor. I have an 008 MLX module with MLX10DP phones. An 800 GS/LS-ID card, and an 016 module for T/R phones. I have a regular cordless phone that is caller id capable. I have the cordless plugged into the 1st port on the 016 card. The system is programmed so that when the cordless phone is taken off hook, it gets outside dialtone from the first CO line. When the CO line rings, the MLX10DP's show the caller id information, but the cordless phone doesn't. Is there a programming step I need to take for this to happen, or is it because the 016 isn't capable of passing caller id information? Also, when I bring up the cordless, or any other extension on the 016 card, it brings it up as an ATL 34 phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

No CID is passed to the S/L phones.

In programming, ALL extensions look like a 20 button set. You have to corrolate actual buttons to the button numbers on the screen. A single line phone can have lines and coverage assigned to its "buttons", so that it can receive particular calls.

Actually, all phones look like a 34 button set, a hold over from the days of MERLIN.

If you want CID on the cordless, you will have to go with a transtalk. I love mine, although, I have heard that Transtalks can be quite problematic.

Ok,
I will look around for one, but in the mean time, if I put the cordless phone on the CO line before the legend, I will get the caller id information. If I do that, is there a way that the legend can detect that the line is off hook, and reflect that on the MLX10D sets?

Thanks again for your help.

Is there a module that can be used for analog phones that will pass caller id info thru?

Thanks
