I have an Intuity Audix attached to a Merlin Legend. The problem is that when callers select their option from the AA the entry is not detected and the call is eventually transfered to the Operator. A reboot "fixed" the problem temporarily but it has returned. Does this sound like a TTR issue? If so, should I be looking at all the TTR's or just the ones on the analog board that has the VM ports on it? One more thing...the list I found refers to 400GS/LS modules, does this include 408GS/LS?

No, none of the 408 any suffix have TTRs. So test all the other equipped modules for faulty TTRs. Also, check the error stack for any related alarm messages. The Legend Maintenance & Troubleshooting Guide document covers the testing procedure. If you don't have it, download it for free from support.avaya.com.

Happy testing!

Thanks for the info. I was led to believe that the 408's had TTR's so my total count was way off and I mistakenly identified the wrong module when I found 2 bad TTR's. They still failed after I "frogged" a couple of 408's but the calls where getting transfered properly (after the reboot) so I just chalked it up to another Legend mystery. Now I know what module is causing the problem.
Thanks again.

If you have a later software release, you can simply busy out the offending TTRs instead of replacing the module. This works even with internal VM such as the 007MLM, but you've gotta have other available TTRs to make it function.

I know I may be late to the game, but how did you test the TTR's? there is a procedure and I didn't see (in your trail) what boards you have. Just asking.

Two things are missing in the procedure:

1. You must have an analog station card and analog set to perform the test.

2. You must test the TTR several times before determining it's worthiness. The usual rule is that a 50% failure = total failure...thus busy out the TTR.

And if you have good trunks or PRI or a DS1 connection, you can use the Remote Access feature to test the TTRs remotely!

What version software release was the busy out feature added? Was that R6.1?
