I have a merlin Legend system that about once a week or at least every ten days the Voicemail dropes off and is not accessable. When you call it if rings and at the end of the ring cycle you get a beep. The rest of the system works fine just VM is gone.
It is a two carrier system and the VM is in slot 4 of the first carrier.
When I get the call the VM is down and i go there all the lights are red on the VM card.
I checked the voltages on the power card and they are right on the mark.
I have the system hooked up to an APC UPS on the protected side (tried three different UPS).
I have even tried different power outlets/recepticals/circuits.
Is it possible that on certain mornings a large number of teachers are checking their VM and a large number of parents are calling in and having to leave messages thus causing the system to become locked up due to all the activity at once. This is the only school that is having this problem, it is a mid sized school and the problem is new since the begining of the calender year, at which time about 10 or 15 phones where added to the system.
Could it be that the card is starting to go bad or the carrier port is starting to go bad?
Expert Ideas?
