Merlin Legend R1 to R7 upgrade download.

I am attempting to upgrade a customer to Release 7 from Release 1. There is no PCMCIA card in R1 so I am trying to convert the saved data file from R1 to R7. SPM (Ver. 4.0)say's I can do it and "converts" the information but does not save it to the file name I have created. HELP!

When you save the R1 translations, save it as a <name>.ams file.

Winspm only recognizes .ams extensions on files.

The file is a text file so you can rename the file and add the extension name.

Then run the convert and open and convert the renamed file.
Also the new file name should also be a .ams file name, and different from the above named file.

You have to be running WinSPM Version 7. All of the upgrades for WinSPM are on Avaya's website. From v4 to v5, then v5 to v6, finally v6 to v7. You'll have to apply these consecutively if I'm not mistaken. Without doing so you can't convert the translations to Legend r7.
