I am new to the Legends and Magix, coming from Definity G3 and Prologix. 2 Questions, (1) How would you set up a port off an 012 card for fax and NOT to be required to dial "9" (for fax machines and credit card machines)? (Please explain step by step as I am pretty slow on the uptake)

(2) does anyone have a cheat sheet or does Avaya have a checklist for a receptionist of user to re-label an old extension to a new user and/or add a new user to an extension?

Thanks

1) put your dial out pool (usually 70) on one of the buttons of the extension of the FAX machine. (Extensions-lines/trunks)Set it to no-ring, (in central programming, select the button, and add *35) and set the auto line select to select it first, so that when it goes off hook, it gets dial tone from the pool.

2) I assume you are just re-labeling here so:
Menu
Sys Programming
Exit
More
Labeling
Enter extension number
Type in label (7 characters)
**Secret Inter Sanctum Knowledge** - On an MLX-20, remove the labels, and the letters will be revealed for labeling will be revealed; on a TDL operator phone, 24LD+, Ignore the top row of buttons, and then beginning with the second row from the top they are (as you go left to right) G-H-I-J; ABCDEFG are in the display.

Thanks Pepperz--Good info on the using the pool dialtone--I will try it.

On the labeling, sounds pretty basic---should be no problem teaching a receptionist this.

Thanks
