Hi i have 4 lines coming in and all of them ring to the operator console. How do i program a DID so it goes to one of the extensions?

Thanks

Renumber the extension to match the DID digits that are being sent from the phone company.

Thanks, will the extension still work after i renumber it?

the extension is 119 so i rename it to 443-0021? does it need the area code.

How many digits are being sent from the phone company? Thats how many you have to match. But you have another problem. You are probably getting 3 or 4 digits, and they are both zero's. You will need to use dial plan routing to modify the incoming DID's to delete the first 2 zero's and add say a 1 in front to match an extension 121.

It sounds like you have POTS lines NOT DID lines. To assign a plain-old-telephone line to an extension you need to first remove it from the pool (if you are operating in hybrid mode), then assign it to the extension in question, then assign line ownership of that line to that extension.

do you happen to know the instructions on how to remove a line from a pool and then assign it. im not used to this system im used to the VOIP systems.

i appreciate all the help and thank you

Go to Lines, then Pools, then enter Pool 70. Press Direct Entry, and then Inspect. If that line is shown as part of the pool, back up, then dial the line number (801, 802, whatever it is) and choose delete.

Now you can go to Extensions, Lines and Trunks, and assign it to the phone.
