I just bought a used Avaya Merlin Legend Telephone system. when iI turn it on, the light of the power suplay start to blinking. somebody could tell me what I have to do?

The green LED indicating power should remain ON SOLID when the power supply is functioning correctly. It is likely that you have a bad power supply or that it is not seated correctly into the backplane.

Uninstall/reinstall the power supply and test again. The power supply has a "hook" where it attaches at the top of the backplane (like a hanger), allowing the lower part to swing down. Push the lower end of the power supply until it clicks into place.

Also look on power supply for a label that says "Equipped with 129B Freq Gen". Please note in your reply whether your power supply has such a label or not.

Isnt there also a PIN on the carrier that has to go into the power supply in order for it to turn on?

kwing112000 is correct. Take a look at the lower portion of the backplane in the power supply slot. There should be a tiny plastic pin sticking up. If it's missing, it could be your trouble as well.

There's a picture of it on page 4-4 (Adobe Acrobat page 116) in
