Hi, I'm running a Legend 7.0 in my home. I'm going to replace a 012 T&R W/Ring Gen board with a 016 T&R. I also have a custom dial plan starting at ext 500 for the T&R stations. My questions are the sequence I need to do everything to swap boards. From what I read...

1. Power everything off
2. Swap out the boards
3. Restart and do a Board Renumber, with the menu option to proceed, which will restart the system.

Anything else I need to do... Will all the extensions from the new board renumber automatically? Meaning instead of 28 T&R extensions, I'll now have 32, sequentially numbered from 500 to 531.

My configuration is:
CPU
408 GS/LS-IS MLX (for the MLX sets and CO lines)
408 for the Merlin ATL sets
012 T&R (to be replaced by 016), extensions start to renumber here, starting at 500
016 T&T

Appreciate the advice :)

The first 4 extensions on the 016 in Slot 4 will move to the last 4 ports on the new 016 in Slot 3

Extension ports 5-16 on the 016 in Slot 4 will move to ports 1-12, and ports 13-16 will be brand new extensions.

Move your connecting cords to match, then renumber Logical ID 45 through 48 as Ext. 532 through 535

Worked exactly as you said (no surprise there). Thanks for your help and time. Regards, Jim
