I have a Merlin Legend with a Music On Hold Adapter that was working with a cd player. The cd is still playing and I have replaced the non working coupler. I have also replaced the 408MLX board that it's plugged into. Is there a way to trouble shoot any programming? I can log into the switch but I am unfamiliar as to programming and my tech isn't available. Any information would be great!

Make sure the volume on the coupler is turned up to a reasonable left. The volume screw on the coupler is counter-clockwise. So - if you have it turned all the way to the right - you turned volume off. Slowly turn it counter-clockwise and stop when it stops turning - or you will break it. There should be no need to adjust programming. You may also have a bad cable - so if the volume on the coupler is turned up - try swapping the cord that goes from the coupler to the system line port.

It is best to adjust the volume by dialing into the system from your cellphone - answer the call and put yourself on hold - then adjust the coupler volume up (counterclockwise) until the volume is hearable, but not distorted - then go to the player and adjust volume up - if needed.
