I Am Currently working on a legend 7.0 with a 007mlm vm card. The issue at hand is that when calls go to AA I get a pause and then the sys prompt comes on and says "TRANSFERING CALL" then it goes to AA-1. Customer does not like the "TRANSFERING CALL" prompt how do I get rid of it?

Let me tell you the setup. Calls in the day are handled by the console and at night they go to a night service group
and after 6 ring they go to AA-1. I have set all the ports to linear and set them also up as rotary and huntgroup type is INT VM. I set up the console with VM and gave it class of service 15 and ringing is controlled on main console with a Coverage off Button instead of a night service button
and Night service is set with the scheduler in Night service Options. In Vm all ports are set to VM Ports and I only have one AA set up. Well I think that sums it up any help will be appreciated.

You have it set up incorrectly - which is why you are hearing the "transfering call". The voicemail group (usually 770), if that is what you are using, needs to be set up as Integrated Voicemail, linear hunt, with members being all of the voicemail port extension numbers. Then, if you want calls to go to the operator for 6 rings before going to the AA - do the following. By the way, MLM 007 ports do not need to be rotary enabled - that only applies to Magix Voicemails. Now, you need to set up an overflow group for voicemail. So pick a group# (I use 791), make no changes to group type or hunt type. The group will have no members. Attach the phone lines (801,802, etc.) to this group - not the voicemail group (770). Under Grp Calling, Press overflow, press, enter 770 (or the voicemail group#),press enter, press number based, backspace out the entry and type in 99, enter, press time based, backspace out the entry and put in about 3 to 4 seconds per ring - so use about 20 seconds, enter. Exit out. Last step - go into voicemail administration and setup a mailbox# 791 (overflow group) and make it type 15. So you will need to change whatever extension you currently made 15. Now you should be all set. If you want to lengthen the rings - add seconds to the overflow time based overflow. To shorten the rings, reduce the amount of seconds.

Ok - I see a mistake in my instructions. To setup overflow, under group calling, press overflow, enter 791, press enter, enter 770, press, enter - then follow the rest of the instructions. Sorry!

You can get rid of the coverage off button on the operator console as well. And, tell me how you have night service set up. I assume you have a Cover Group (usually 30) that has the extension numbers in it to be covered by voicemail - and that you have the voicemail group providing coverage to 30. If not - how do you have it set up? I would use a regular "night service" button instead when the operator leaves for the day.

Tom,

You mentioned the 007 ports not needing to be rotary enabled. We've had 3 customers in the last couple of months who said they couldn't get the 007 to answer correctly until they did turn on rotary enable. I've never had to turn this feature on, so I'm at a loss to explain why some work and others don't. Do you have any insight? Thanks.

No specific insight - unless maybe it has something to do with the processor software version they are running. Maybe, if it's Magix software - the processor is expecting a Magix messaging vs. the 007 MLM. It does not hurt anything to rotary enable the VM ports - so I guess to be absolutely safe - they should be rotary enabled. I have many systems with 007 MLMs running just fine without having to do that.
