Merlin Legend- External Transfer Feature

Hi All,

To start, I am a Norstar specialist and have very limited info, so please forgive me in that regard.

I wanted to know if it was possible to externally transfer calls outside the system? On a Norstar we had to be at a certain software level and set a programming parameter to allow the capability. Also if it is doable, has it always been a feature or something that became available on a certain software level.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sure. Enable the phone in question to be able to Trunk to trunk transfer: Sys Prog > Exit > Extensions > More Trunk Transfer: enter extension numbers. It can then transfer a call offsite.

To do remote transfers, you have to specifically "authorize" the extention to do so in system programming under extentions - by allowing trunk-to-trunk transfer AND remote forwarding.

What software release is on the processor now? I believe it has been available for some time.

It has always been allowed.

Also, one other thing you have to do (IF YOU ARE USING LOOP START LINES) is to set Loop Start reliable disconnect to YES.

System Pprogram > Start/Exit > Lines & Trunks > TT/LS Disc > LS Disconnect > YES
