My client has a Merlin Legend 6.1. Their previous vendor set up a doorbell. When the doorbell is depressed, it rings various telephones. It works fine and is programmed correctly through trunk 8144. The console has had this functionality for at least 10 years and the operator has now decided that the when the door is opened (using a pre-programmed code) that the ringback produced at the console is annoying.
Is there anyway to stop the ringback at the console? I checked programming...LS Disconnect is set to yes and Disconnect Signaling Reliability is set to reliable. Is there any other setting that may stop the ringback?
Is it possible that this issue could be wiring related? Tip/Ring is reversed?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks,
S.
P.S. TouchToneTommy, thanks for your response to the MFM question!
