Currently calls ring into an Auto Attendant (Merlin Legend Messaging 007 MLM) and callers dial the ext. number.

Is it possible to have calls ring a single extension number then after 4-rings goto that persons voicemail box?

How would this be accomplished, if it can be done?

If you have analog loop or ground start trunks, assign the lines to the extension in question, make it the Principal User of the lines, and they will cover to the extension's mailbox instead of the Auto Attendant (remove the programming that is currently sending calls to the AA)

If you have a T1 or PRI, then direct the incoming calls directly to the extension, and coverage will happen automatically.

Loop start lines here.

How do I make the extension the principal user for the lines?

I located the prompt in programming however, when I enter line number 801 and then x504 and press enter, I get a beep sound.

Is this good or bad?

The call now forwards to vmail after 4-rings but goes to to mailbox 501 not 504.

I tried to delete x501 as the Principal User in programming then add x504 as the Principal User however I get a beep tone from the WINSPM software each time I try to press enter to ad x504 as the Principal User.

Attached are the printouts of both x501 and x504.

Any thoughts?

I removed x501 from the cover group #30 and now when vmail answers it sends the call to mailbox 433.

Is there a prompt somewhere to tell the system to only goto this particular mailbox, mailbox 504 when incoming calls go unaswered OR do I need to remove ringing from other phones or remove pool group button from everyone????

You can't assign an extension as Principal User unless it has the line assigned to it. If no extension is assigned as Principal User, and also not assigned to a calling group, the lowest Logical ID that has the line assigned will control the coverage.
