Hello,

I need to re-do some of the menus for our auto-attendant. Im having trouble figuring out what I should delete and re-program first. Should I re-do the sub-menus first, should I re-record the announcements first? It seems like its a complicated procedure. Any help would be appreciated.

What Voice Mail System you have? The reason I am asking is because Avaya has Automated Attendant forms that can help you through your programming.

I would sit down and write what menus you want to use since your recording will depend heavily on this. Also, if you want to do direct extension transfer, one of your menu selection will depend on the first digit used by your extensions numbers.

In addition, remember that users usually do not like complicated menus. So if you are not a really big company, I'll suggest you stay away from submenus.

We are using Merlin Mail and unfortunatley, we are a pretty big company. We do have a menu system now, but they want to make changes to it (i.e. moving the Directions option from option 2 to option 1). Im getting stuck on the selector codes and sub menu commands. Basically I guess I have to dig in and try it. Thank you for your help.
