Can an AT&T MLC-6 cordless phone work on a Legend (rel 7.0) system? I'm guessing I'd have to plug into a 408 GS/LS ATL card, and program as a 5 button Merlin set. The only documentation I've been able to find is using the MLC-6 with a Partner system. Thanks for checking!!

I seem to rememebr it will work but the only way to know is to test it. By the way you would be better off with a transtalk cordless like a 9040.

UPDATE: I read on Avaya's site that the MLC-6 can only be used with a Partner or Partner Plus system. I'm running a Merlin Legend 7.0, and read on another post that since an ETR card emulates the Partner system, I should be able to plug the MLC-6 into the ETR card and have it function.

Can anyone confirm this? My user has a preference for the MLC-6 because of the color and it is self-contained (transmitter and receiver are all one unit).

Thanks.

Just make sure they know that it will have a more limited range than the transtalk. If they work as a partner phone then it will work on the ETR card.
