Got a client with an Intuity that is down. Talked to three different tech support people. One is telling me the 6 port card is bad in the Intuity. The status of 0-5 on the intuity is *Broken. I took the VM apart, pulled the 6 port card out and put it back in. Powered up, same results. When I call their VM group (770) I get a ring beep. Correct me if I am wrong but shouldn't it just ring?? Checked all of the VM programming, seems to all be in working order. I cannot get any of the analog ports from the 012 card to ring my test set by dialing 770. They will ring if I call each one by it's ext number. I swear that by disconnecting the analog exts from the VM and plugging my test set in that it should ring my test set by dialing the calling group. This is not happening. Just ring beep and no ringing on the card in any of these 6 ports. Will the ring beep go away with a new 6 port card?????

The VM prog from what I remember is: IntegratedVMI, Linear, Group Calling 770 with 6 exts assigned, Group Cover 1 with all exts that have vm box. A few other things, cannot remember at this moment.

Post up if I am missing any thing. I have a AYC10 6 port card overnighted for tomorrow morning. I'm thinking I have more than just a bad port card in the Intuity, maybe you can help me out?

Thanks.

RING BEEP" is a symptom of the Voice Mail (or any calling group) not having any available agents.

If you can call the extensions individually and hear them ring your test set, then you probably are getting ringing even when you call 770, you just can't monitor all 6 ports with your test set.

One test you could do to "restart" the Intuity would be to take the 6 ports out of the calling group, change the type, then put them back and change the type back to VMI.

It's just a thought.

Then you can call each one individually and see if they answer, or even exhibit ringing.

The AYC-10 card may, or not be bad. You may have a software corruption in the Intuity.
Go into Voice System Admin, Hit the f-8 key to change keys, change the 'state" of all voice ports to out-of service (manually), back out to the main menu, then return to where you just were and attempt to return to service, use your "choices" Key for help. If this doesn't work, repeat the procedure above, BUT, instead, after manually putting them "MAN-OOS", Back up to "Cust svcs", "system control", do a shutdown and then do a power off (cold) boot. then go back and attempt to return them to service (INSERV), if they do not come back up after the cold boot.
If this doesn't work, I hope you have a good backup, and the system software tapes, or CD, because you will likely have to reload and restore.
